Hello Gurus,

I have the following issue.

  • User runs Outlook 2016 connecting to an on-site Exchange server.
  • Some messages that she receives are missing content. It seems like links are broken.
  • I opened the same message in Outlook Web Access. Here, I see the following notificication for the message:
To help protect your privacy, some content in this message has been blocked. If you're sure this message is from a trusted sender and you want to re-enable the blocked features, click here.
  • When click "Click Here", the missing links are displayed successfully.
  • I cannot seem to find anything in the Outlook client that will re-enable these blocked content. I have tried adding the sender to "Safe Senders" but that has not helped.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Rudy

    Hi @Rudolf Amarlapudi

    Welcome to our forum!

For better research, please provide more details about this case:

Is this email the only user blocked?

Can you receive it after you add it to the safe senders list?

Is this blocked email unable to be found in Outlook client?

Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the blocked content problem in Outlook:

    • Update Outlook: Make sure Outlook 2016 is up to date with the latest updates and patches.
    • Check Trust Center Settings: Go to File>>Options>>Trust Center>>Trust Center Settings>>Automatic Download. Don't download pictures automatically in HTML email and ensure that is unchecked.
    • Repair Office Installation: Sometimes, repairing the Office installation can resolve such issues. Go to Control Panel>>Programs and Features>>Change>> select Microsoft Office, and click > Repair.
