Hi,
I have a list that includes column names that have spaces in them, e.g. "Third party". I want to be able to conditionally show fields in a list form based on choice. I have followed the guidance in this link https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/dev/declarative-customization/list-form-conditional-show-hide#specify-conditional-formula-to-show-or-hide-columns, however conditional formula appears to have an issue with the space between the column name "Third" and Party".
I want to be able to overcome this issue without removing the space in the column name, please can someone help?
Success : =if([$ThirdParty] == 'Yes', 'true', 'false')
Fail : =if([$Third party] == 'Yes', 'true', 'false') **error advising "**Enter a valid condition"

In the conditional formula, you should use internal name of the column.
Go to List Settings -> Columns section -> Click the "Third party" column -> Find the internal name of the column.
So, you must use [$ThirdParty] in the conditional formula.

Thanks Emily! I can confirm that this is now working, however it only works in the basic list form when you use the "+Add New" button. How can have the same show/hide functionality using a form (select the Forms menu above the list)? If you can help solve this is would be fantastic!!

Conditional formula cannot be used in the customized forms. It can only be used in the default new form.
OK, so the show/hide functionality cannot be achieved using Forms - indicated red below?
If so, that is a real shame that the customized form cannot inherit the logic of the list form.
Do you know of an easy way to make the list form as "pretty" and the custom form that is generated using the Forms menu?

Per my research, there is no easy way to make the list form as "pretty" and the custom form that is generated using the Forms menu.
As a suggestion, you could use Power Apps to customize list forms.
