Experiencing issues with OneDrive prompting for sign-in every time when logging into the machine or even when it doesn't require a reboot. This results in having to resync the entire library each time.

Actions taken:

  • Updated machines with the latest OS updates.
  • Uninstalled and reinstalled OneDrive.
  • Cleared out any saved credentials via Credential Manager.
  • Logged out and back into the account using Settings -> Accounts -> Access work or school.

    Hi @Ernest Aduboffour

Do you enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) for your account?

    I suggest you reset OneDrive.

    Then clear your credentials cache.

    • Search %AppData% in Windows Search box, and navigate to Microsoft folder (C:\Users<yourusername>\AppData\Local\Microsoft)

Cut the OneAuth and IdentityCache folders out of the Microsoft folder and paste them onto your desktop.

    • Relaunch OneDrive and sign in and check this issue.
