Currently doing the Labs 03 and 04, I encountered the same error :

Unknown compute target 'aml-cluster'

And the job is not created.

After checking Rakesh Gurram's answer on 11.28.24, I made sure to use Python 3.8 -AzureML (see screenshot below) and running the cells one at the time

I then tried on the Jupyter Notebook of Labs 03 and encountered the same issue. Same problem for Labs04 and also when trying the Jupyter Notebook of Labs 02.

Would you be able to explain what is aml-cluster, when it was created and how I can make sure there is?

Regards

    Hi Axl,

Since the Microsoft Q&A community has a policy that the question author cannot accept their own answer. They can only accept answers by others, Summarized and posted the solution that you shared, request you to Accept the answer, it will benefit the community find the answers quickly.

    Scenario:

    Unknown compute target 'aml-cluster'.

    Issue:

the aml-cluster, created during the lesson of Lab02 erased while deleting the rg-dp100-lasbs.

    Resolution:

As the exercise in Unit-5 requires the prior exercises in Unit- 3&4 to be completed, we sometimes have to be careful while deleting the RG.

    Thank you.
