Hello

Please i need your help on this issue.

Just to clarify, we have 1:1 chat with a user that has been successfully synced using cross-tenant sync.

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/multi-tenant-organizations/cross-tenant-synchronization-configure

This is the status:

  • The other tenant cleared the cache in their desktop versions of MS Teams.
  • When Deepak (user in the MTO and synced into our tenant) views my user details, they can see my presence and can send direct chat to me, I do not need to switch tenants to view and respond from my desktop client.

When I view Deepak’s user details via desktop teams, I don’t see his presence and I also don’t see the Shared tab

Outstanding issues

  • Why don’t I see users’ presence in chat or shared channels
  • Why don’t I see the shared tab when the external user does

    Hi @IniobongNkanga-8038

We recommended that you contact your office 365 administrator to go to Office 365 Admin Center-> Support-> New Service Request, the support engineers there have the same environment to reproduce the issue, collect logs from your organization in order to find the cause and advise efficiently. This issue could be due to a configuration issue, permissions problem, or a synchronization error between the tenants.

If you are admin (if not kindly contact your admin or IT department ) You can refer to this article to check the way how to raise a ticket. Ways to contact support for business products - Admin help. The engineers in related team have higher permission and resources than us to help collect log and check the root cause directly.
