Additionally, optimizing your applications and queries, upgrading to SSDs for better performance, and enabling Azure Premium Storage might help reduce slowdowns caused by heavy disk usage. Checking the task manager CPU and RAM and enable diagnostic logs will help pinpoint specific issues that may be affecting the VM.
