Aspire versus SideCar Dapr Patterns

Just started to learn about the new features of Aspire. As I got to the Aspire Integrations, it seems very similar to the Dapr architectural pattern. For example, how Aspire would add Redis Cache or even the logging, it seems to really rememble what was introduced in Dapr for .NET. Could someone shed some light in this area? Thanks.

HenryT - Good question. This article should address your question on the differences and similaries between .NET Aspire and Dapr https://www.diagrid.io/blog/net-aspire-dapr-what-are-they-and-how-they-complement-each-other
In summary though .NET Aspire is a local development tool for developing .NET applications with a microservices design approach. Dapr is a runtime (or framework) for building those applications either locally or when you take your application into production. .NET Aspire does not provide anything for production application development, but the combination of .NET Aspire + Dapr is a very powerful one. So for example you can take all the logging information that comes from Dapr and visualize this in .NET Aspire, or use Aspire to launch and debug your Dapr applications. I will say that there is still ongoing work to make Dapr better integrated with Aspire.
