Regain authenticator code for Facebook on old work phone

Hello. My work is currently having a problem trying to get back into our Facebook account. we had a 2-factor authenticator linked up to my old work phone. When the phones were switched, our IT department forgot to install the Facebook authentication, before we backed it up. We can't log into Facebook without this code, as the site doesn't give us any other options, so we are forced to somehow find our old authentication. Is there a way to recover our credentials? It has been several months since we switched phones, and there is no way to access the old phone.
