Hello Team,

I have sharepoint document library with a lot of folders.

when I need to open the folder in the Y or Z, I need to scroll down a lot.

I need to group folders in Sharepoint by alphabetical,

i.e.:

  1. group1 A to L
  2. group2 L to Z.

the groups are collapsed, If I click in the group1 "A to L", it expand and shows all the folders that begin with A until the L.

Do you know how to do it, I tried in copilot and other forum without succeed.

Best regards,

    Hi @Sergio Londono,

I don't think this is possible in SharePoint. Grouping and subgrouping in SharePoint only works with the existing columns in the list/library.

As a workaround, I would recommend you to create two sub-folders to store folders 'A to L' and 'L to Z'.

And here is a similar issue with yours, please make a reference

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/how-to-sort-items-alphabetically-on-sharepoint/01066db4-ab6a-4e9d-a03d-4b826ba57b1c

Since the issue is a by-design one. it is highly recommended that you can raise a new ticket on customers’ feedback. With requirements like this increase, the problem may well be released in the future. Thanks for your understanding.
