I have selected the setting to require sign in after PC wakes up from sleep. However, the PC is not following the rule.

I have updated, restarted and everything but it isn't working.

Everytime it goes to sleep and I wake it up it logs me straight in without asking for a password.

How can i change this?

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

You can try the following method to modify the registry and see if it works:

Press Win+R to open the Run, enter "regedit" and press Enter to enter the "Registry Editor", and locate the following paths in sequence: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Power

Click Power and double-click on the right to open the "AwayModeEnabled" value, then change its value data to 0 and click OK to save. If there is no such value, right-click on the right to create a new "DWORD 32-bit" value, right-click and name it "AwayModeEnabled" and change it to the above value, then restart the computer to make it effective.

Note If you modify the registry incorrectly, you can cause serious problems. Therefore, follow these steps carefully. For additional protection, back up the registry before you modify it. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, see https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-to-back-up-and-restore-the-registry-in-windows-855140ad-e318-2a13-2829-d428a2ab0692

I hope the information above is helpful.

    Best regards

    Zunhui
