Hello,
Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.
If the CPU temperature rises after upgrading to Windows 11 24H2, here are some possible reasons and solutions:
- Open Task Manager and check if there are any processes with high CPU usage. If it is an abnormal process, you can terminate the process and uninstall the related services.
- After the update, the old hardware drivers may not be compatible with the new system, causing the hardware to not work properly. I recommend that you visit the official website of the motherboard and CPU manufacturer to download and install the latest drivers. Especially the chipset driver, power management driver and graphics driver.
- Open "Control Panel" > "Power Options". Select "Balanced" or "Energy Saving" mode and avoid using "High Performance" mode. Click "Change Plan Settings" > "Change Advanced Power Settings" to check if the CPU maximum state is set to a reasonable value (such as 80%-90%).
- Open "Settings" > "Windows Update" and check if there are any updates that are not installed. Microsoft may release a fix to resolve known issues.
I hope the information above is helpful.
Best regards
Zunhui
