How do I get the Authenticator app to stop trying to force update passwords for other apps and sites when I use it to autofill passwords?

When I use the Authenticator app to autofill passwords I get a popup: Screenshot 2025-01-28 121823

This happens almost every time now. Authenticator keeps trying to force me to update my passwords for other sites and apps, but I'm not in a password reset phase, so if I tap "update" it just inserts what the site or app considers nonsense and replaces my correct password with that "updated password" in Authenticator, and then I lose the password I need. The only way around it is to not use autofill and just go into Authenticator and grab my password manually, which is a pain. I've switched password managers for now because I have another that autofills (though somewhat inconsistently) without doing this, but I preferred Authenticator's autofill and syncing when it worked properly.

I've made sure the app is updated, cleared the cache, and actually factory reset my phone recently for an unrelated reason, and the problem remains, so if there's something in the settings that I'm not seeing that I can change to make this go away, please let me know!
