Hi @Stephen Ponsford
Thanks for the question and using MS Q&A platform.
Azure Static Web Apps does not support Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs), even those that include non-ASCII characters. From the context, domains in Unicode, including Punycode domains, are not supported. This situation can result in domain validation errors when trying to use those types of domains. Alternative approaches, while as a workaround you indicated creating a domain redirection from your domain provider to the Azure Static Web Apps URL, this might cause SSL certificate problems, which shows that the SSL/TLS certificates are not configured correctly for the domain that is being redirected to.

Having an issue where unable to use Internationalized Domain Names in SWA, whether using the original or the punycode version and just getting domain validation failing.
A work around I was hoping to use was a name redirection from my domain provider to Azure SWA url however that then causes SSL certificate errors.
Is anyone successfully using Internationalized Domain Names whether punycode or not in SWA either through being successful using custom domain name registration or some other work around?
