I have migrated the old Azure AD connect server to a new one. The new server is active node and export is going good.

Now the old server is in staging mode and I want to decommission it.

What is the correct way to do it? Can I just uninstall it from the control panel?

    Hi @Shubham Sharma (OneStepGroup)

Thank you for posting this in Microsoft Q&A platform.

I understand you want to decommission Entra Connect staging node.

Yes, use the Control Panel to uninstall Microsoft Entra Connect from the server.

    Please follow the steps below:

    1. On the server running Microsoft Entra Connect, navigate to the Control Panel.
    2. Select "Uninstall a program."
    3. Select Microsoft Entra Connect.
    4. When prompted, select "Yes" to confirm.
    5. This will bring up the Microsoft Entra Connect screen. Select "Remove."
    6. Once the action completes, select "Exit."
    7. Back in the Control Panel, select "Refresh," and all components should be removed.
