    Hi Sakshi Mehta,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the Microsoft Q&A forum.

In Power BI, directly creating relationships between the Sales and Order date columns can lead to inconsistencies because they represent different aspects of time (e.g., ShipDate in Sales and OrderDate in Orders). This can cause inaccurate results in time-based calculations.

A dedicated Date table serves as a single, unified time reference, ensuring consistent and accurate time intelligence (such as YTD, MTD, etc.) across all related tables. It simplifies complex queries, eliminates ambiguity, and allows Power BI to perform reliable calculations and aggregations.

If you are still facing any issue, please let us know in the comments and where you are encountering this error along with the screenshot for reference. We are glad to help you.
