Not receiving the box to enter my code

Question

I have been trying the link my school account to the authenticator app for over an hour. Every time I get a code I never receive the box to enter the code I tried to enter the code manually but that did not work either. I need this app because it is how I do everything for school I can't get into my classes can't get emails nothing. I looked online to see if there is a way that I can fix it myself it just tells me to update the app it already is.
