I am currently experiencing an issue when trying to log in to my company’s website using my Microsoft account on a new device.

After entering my credentials and password, I am prompted to enter the verification code from Microsoft Authenticator. However, the Authenticator app on my phone displays an 8-digit verification code, but the Microsoft login page only accepts 6 digits.

Even after requesting a new code, there has been no response from the Authenticator app.

I have tried several troubleshooting steps, such as removing and re-adding the account in the Authenticator app, as well as reinstalling the app, but the issue persists. Furthermore, when I checked the security info page for my Microsoft account, I noticed that multi-factor authentication (MFA) is not enabled.

You can ask your administrator to revoke MFA registration. It will allow you re-register MFA with your new device.
