    Hi bassem,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform!

From your question I understand that you're trying to increase your Azure VM to 16 cores, but you're running into two major issues:

    1. Quota Limitation:
      • Azure imposes a vCPU limit per subscription per region.
      • If you've hit your limit, you must request a quota increase to get more vCPUs.
    2. VM Size Availability:
      • Even if you have enough quota, not all VM sizes are available in every region.
      • Some VM families with high-core counts might not be available in your selected region.
Steps to Fix the Issue Check Your Current vCPU Quota. Go to Azure Portal → Search for "Usage + quotas".Select your subscription and region. Look under the Compute section for: Total Regional vCPUs and vCPU limits for specific VM families (e.g., Dsv3, Esv3, F-series) If your quota is less than 16 vCPUs, you need to request a quota increase. Request a vCPU Quota Increase In the Usage + quotas page, find the required VM family (e.g., Standard_Dv3Family). Click request quota increase.Enter the new limit (e.g., 16 or higher).Submit the request and wait for approval (can take a few hours to a day) https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/quotas/per-vm-quota-requests?utm_source=chatgpt.com https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-resource-manager/management/azure-subscription-service-limits?utm_source=chatgpt.com

    Hope this helps!
