How to edit permissions to add calendar events in Outlook 2016

Hello,

I recently got a new computer and transferred my calendar to my new version of Outlook, but now I cannot create new events in my calendar. I am getting a message that says "You don't have permission to create an entry in this folder. Right-click the folder, and then click properties to check your permissions in the folder. See the folder owner or your administrator to change your permissions.". However, when I right click on my calendar and then select Properties, I am not getting anything that discusses permissions. All I can see is where the items are posting to, which is selected to be IPM.Appointment.

My Outlook version is Microsoft Office Professional - 2016. Does anyone have any tips on how to change permissions so I can edit and add to my calendar?

Thank you!

    Hi @LaceyMW ,

    Thanks for your reply!

How did you get the .pst file?

And how did you access the .pst?

Generally, we can export the mailbox in Outlook from your old device and then import the .pst file to Outlook in your new device. Please refer to the below article to calendar to your Outlook on new computer:

Export emails, contacts, and calendar items to Outlook using a .pst file

Import email, contacts, and calendar from an Outlook .pst file

    Hope to help you!
