We are experiencing an issue with our Group Policy settings following the implementation of Azure AD sync. Here are the details:

  1. Current Situation:
    • The GPO policy is applying correctly to the "Computer" configuration.
    • "User" configuration settings are not working, including shortcut creation and other user-specific policies.
  2. Background:
    • Previously, all GPO shortcut links in the User configuration were working as expected.
    • We recently set up Azure AD sync to synchronize device and user information to Office 365.
    • After this setup, users began reporting missing shortcuts.
  3. Specific Issue:
    • User-specific Group Policy settings are not being applied.
    • This includes, but may not be limited to, shortcut creation policies.
