Windows 7 Client Can't Access Shared Folder On Windows Server 2019

Hi

I have a domain network where there are several servers with Windows Server 2019 operating system and several clients from Windows 10, 11 and 7. I use one of the servers as a file server. Shared files are accessible by all clients except Windows 7 clients. Windows 7 pings the file server and is completely joined to the domain. And another strange thing is that group policies are not applied to Windows 7 clients. When I type the command gpresult /r in Cmd, it shows the names of the policies and it seems that they have been applied, but in fact none of them have been applied on Windows 7. what should I do?

    Hello,

Thank you so much for posting here.

Regarding the first question, can Windows 7 successfully ping the file server?

In addition to this, you can check the share permissions and NTFS permissions of the shared folder to see if you have gained user access on win7.

Issues with applying Group Policy for Windows 7 clients, you can check whether some error events are recorded in your system event log. For details, you can refer to the link below for some checks.

    Hope you are doing well!

    Bets Regards,
