Win11 Ent KEEPS auto-restarting!!!

Greetings all:

Despite several actions taken to prevent this (Register edit, andsoforth), Win 11 Ent KEEPS Auto-restarting after updates.
Even when I tell Windows Updates NOT to restart, and wait a week, it is happily ignored, which leads to loss of heaps of open MSEdge pages, interruption of scheduled maintenances (such as Auslogic Pro Diskdefrag), andsoforth!!!

WHY is all I do in continuity ignored by Windows?
How come, we have no more control over what Windows does???

Goodness, I am getting so darn sick of all this ... .

Can someone explain why my settings and requests not to reboot as long as I am logged on, keep getting ignored?

Thank you aforehand:
Ben

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

Based on the description, I understand your question is related to update restart.

Windows update will require restart to finish the whole operation, so it is not recommended to request machine not restart when you install updates, this will cause file corruptions.

If you do not want it to restart during your working hours, you can configure active hours:

Active hours identify the period of time when you expect the device to be in use. Automatic restarts after an update occur outside of the active hours.

By default, active hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM on PCs and from 5 AM to 11 PM on phones. Users can change the active hours manually.

Starting with Windows 10, version 1703, you can also specify the max active hours range. The specified range is counted from the active hours start time.

    Have a nice day.

    Best Regards,

    Thank you for replying, miss.

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum. (Shortened to save space)

I had set the system to manual updating, so i can pick the best time for me to do this.
Alas, like with so many of my settings, Windows happily ignores this, and does whatever it wants to do.

Now, I fail to get this:
Why does Windows 11 ignore the settings I give it?

    Another example:
"Power Saving" is turned of for my network adapter.
However, often, it simply resets itself to "Power Save Mode"!!!
And there are more than several settings which keep auto-reverting to a base state.

This is SO irritating ... .
And no matter where I search for solutions, I do not find one that actually works, permanently.
Even register edits are being undone or ignored.

I am so darn tired of all this ... . :(

    Kindest regards:
    Ben

    Hello,

Is this issue only happens after you upgrade to windows 11? What is the exact version of your machine?

    Best regards,

    Molly

Machine, do you mean my Hardware version or OS?
This is a bit confusing for me.

    If you mean OS:
    22H2 b.22621.4602
