Can anyone advise the tricks involved in using Remote Desktop from an iPad using Microsoft Remote Desktop to connect to a Windows 11PC within your home network.

The iPad can ping the PC but I am getting the following error.

Unable to connect

We couldn't connect to the remote PC

because the PC can't be found. Please

provide the fully-qualified name or the

IP address of the remote PC

Error code: 0x104

Will I need to change my sign-in options on the PC? i.e. remove fingerprint recognition

    Hello,

Is it possible to transfer files from your iPad to windows 11? This is to test the network connectivity between two devices.

Here are a few things to consider:

    • Ensure that Remote Desktop is enabled on your Windows 11 PC. Go to Settings > System > Remote Desktop. Turn on the switch for Enable Remote Desktop
    • Confirm that the Windows 11 PC's firewall is not blocking incoming RDP connections. RDP uses TCP port 3389.

    • Run ipconfig/all on the windows, ensure you acquired the correct IP address.

    I hope this information helps.

    Best regards,

    Karlie Weng
