How to solve keyboard input problems using Microsoft Remote Desktop (RD Client for Android) on Android devices?

I encountered some significant issues while remotely operating my computer using RD Client on an Android device. When enabling the mobile input method, I am able to input text (such as Chinese characters, Japanese characters) to a remote computer using the Android device's own input method, while the input method on the remote computer does not work;

However, when disabling the mobile input method (or switching to English keyboard input), numbers and symbols can be entered normally. However, when I select a text box to input letters, the input method on the remote computer cannot be adjusted like using a normal computer (even if the input method is selected instead of the default English keyboard). Except for the letter "a", which can be adjusted normally, other letters can only be inputted as the letter itself after input and cannot be called by the input method. In other words, I can only use the input method with the letter 'a', and not with any other letters.

This phenomenon particularly affects the operation when playing games. A considerable number of games require long pressing of letter keys to move (such as WASD), but as mentioned earlier, only the input of letter a is valid, and the input of other letters is completely invalid (whether using an external keyboard or the Android built-in virtual keyboard), even if the remote computer's input method has been switched to an English keyboard.

I don't know if it's an issue with RD Client's handling of keyboard mapping? Because I can input normally when using other remote software (TeamViewer).

In addition, other aspects of RD Client are excellent. Thank you for your time.

    Hello,

    Thank you for posting in the Microsoft community forum.

    First make sure you are using the latest version of RD Client and Remote Desktop software. Check for updates in client Settings.

    In addition, try to enable the default Microsoft input method on the remote computer. If possible, try using an external Bluetooth or USB keyboard to connect to your Android device for input testing.

    Best regards

    Jacen

    I'm Sorry, it doesn't work. In fact, all the ways you told me have already mentioned in my description.
