2019 server license and config

I installed a windows 2019 server on a system unit to configure Azure ADConnect.

the system shutdown by itself. the Evaluation period has elapsed. I want to know if that is the reason its shutting down and what to do next.

what license do I need for that purpose.

    Yes, the system shutdown is likely due to the expiration of the Windows Server 2019 evaluation period. After the trial period expires, the system starts asking for activation and shuts down every hour.

    You can extend the evaluation period by following these steps:

    Open an elevated command prompt (cmd)

    Enter the following command: cscript.exe %windir%\system32\slmgr.vbs /dlv

    To rearm use the following command: cscript.exe %windir%\system32\slmgr.vbs /rearm

    Restart the system

    After the restart, the evaluation period is extended for another 180 days.

    As for the license needed to configure Azure ADConnect on Windows Server 2019, it’s recommended to use Server Datacenter licenses. However, you should contact your Microsoft representative to discuss the use case and licensing options for your situation.
