How do get my ethernet adapter to properly work after update changed something

A Windows update yesterday affected my ethernet adapter. I've run basic diagnostics, and it is working but I'm not able to connect my CAT line. I've checked my router, Internet connection (using WiFi in the meantime), uninstalled the update, installed and reinstalled drivers, checked drivers. Help!

    Hello,

We noticed that you encountered the problem that the network cannot be used after updating the system. It is recommended that you try the following methods:

Search "Control Panel" in the Windows menu and open > "Network and Internet" > "Network Connections" > Enter the corresponding network, right-click - Properties - Network, and set the Microsoft, Protocol Version 4, Protocol Version 6 and Link Layer Check all of them, leave everything else unchecked, and just confirm.

If the above method doesn't work, you can try the following steps:

    Reset the network

    1. Search for CMD, open and find Command Prompt (, run as administrator) mode
    2. Enter the following commands in the pop-up command box (enter the next one after each line is completed)

    ipconfig /release

    ipconfig /renew

    ipconfig /flushdns

    ipconfig /registerdns

    netsh int ip reset

    netsh winsock reset

    netsh winhttp reset proxy

    1. Restart the computer to see if the problem can be solved.

    Reset network settings

Press the Windows+R key, enter inetcpl.cpl, open Internet Options, click Advanced, and check "Use SSL 3.0", "Use TLS 1.0", "Use TLS 1.1", "Use TLS 1.2", and restart the computer after applying to see if that resolves the issue.

    Reset proxy server settings

Click the windows+R key, enter inetcpl.cpl, open Internet options, click Connection, click LAN Settings, check whether the proxy server column is checked, if so, please uncheck it, and click OK to apply Then restart the computer to see if the problem can be solved.

Hope the above methods are helpful to you!

    Best regards

    Zunhui
