Windows Server 2019 OS running very slow

Hi,

Windows Server 2019 running very slow. more 60% Hard disk are empty.

Firewall is ok, all hardware's are also fine.

since I have updated my server from last windows stack updates, it's running very slow.

What type of hard disk are you using? Is it SSD or HDD?

How long it has been in this condition?

Is it slow when you are opening program or when you are navigating in folders?

Hi,

We are using ssd. All drives are 60% empty.

Also, I have got all hardware checked, firewall etc as well.

OS is running slow after having the recent updates.if we copy one folder to another then also it’s running very very slow.

I have server 2019 license. Lenovo has confirmed OS problem since they have checked all hardware & supported software.

Please let me know how to resolve this.

Try open the Command prompt as administrator and then type the following command:

sfc /scannow

Press enter and let it runs and see what is the result?

Is it a production server?

Are you able to restart it?

Yes. It’s production server.

Believe me, we have tried everything.

Lenovo has told me that it’s OS issue & they can’t solve it. We are finally going for formatting the C drive.

Tough decision but we have taken this now.

Performance issues are complex , in case you are format and reinstalling the Windows , please tell us if that solved the problem?
