Dropped Connection

Hi All,

Our OPSView Reporting system reported that one of our servers was unreachable and was treated as a P3.

The operations team looked at the reported issue NODE DOWN and could not find the source. I also looked at the logs directly on the server and also looked through all the microsoft logs for the time the error was reported but could not identify anything of note.

The server is a VM and connected to a vcenter server host.

My question is - are there any logs on the server I should note that might be able to identify this problem?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Regards.

I should have also said that although the system was reporting the NODE was DOWN the server I believe was pinging and the uptime of the server was 26 days.

On a Windows VM, you can check the Event Viewer for system logs. Look for events related to network adapters, drivers, or any other relevant errors.
