is peer to peer networking still compatible between win 7 and win 10?

my peer to peer networking was working till last thursday, and from that moment its not working anymore and today my colleague told me that from now on win 7 and win 10 r no longer compatibile to work in peer to peer network.

    Peer to peer networking is still compatible between Windows 7 and Windows 10. If your Peer to peer network was working fine until last Thursday but is no longer working, it may be due to another problem. Can you provide more information about the problem, such as a screenshot of the error?

    Service isnt starting, and our "IT guy" told us that is not compatibile anymore, obvi thats not true, i called him this morning and after i told him that i double checked, he somehow did it but on one PC in office but we need all 5 PC to be connected to CNC machines. If he cant find a solution, i will provide a picture of error on CNC and hope ypu will help me to solve it
