Run as Administrator results in "This app had been blocked by your system administrator"

Hello, I'm configuring a new ASUS laptop, Windows 11 Pro, connected to AzureAD via the end user account, set up by my Global Admin account. When I'm logged in as the end user, "Run as Administrator" will not prompt to enter my admin credentials, instead I get "This app had been blocked by your system administrator" with Copy to Clipboard or Cancel options.

  1. Device is registered with Intune, plan 1.
  2. I am able to successfully "Run as Administrator" on other devices configured the exact same way, domain, intune plan.
  3. I've double checked account status'. My account is listed as Administrator, while the user account is "Standard User".

Help would be greatly appreciated.

    Did you sign in the non-working machine and the working machine using the same end user? If so, how did you perform "Run as Administrator"?

    Did you click the same App or program and then perform "Run as Administrator"?

    Please do some tests as below and check if the user policy or machine policy control the setting "Run as Administrator".

    You can try to sign in the same machine using different end user and check the "Run as Administrator" on the same App or program. Check the result.
