I'm installing 2 windows server 2019 VM's in ESXi.

I need to license each VMs version of windows.

Can i get a trail version of windows server 2019 standard so i can set up my system while I figure out the licensing part?

    Hello Joseph Molloy

Yes, you can download a trial version of Windows Server 2019 from the Microsoft Evaluation Center website first. As for downloading a trial license, Microsoft does offer a 180-day evaluation version of Windows Server 2019 that you can download and use for testing purposes. However, it is important to note that this evaluation version cannot be used in a production environment and must be replaced with a licensed version before the evaluation period expires.

To license a VM running Windows Server 2019, you will need to purchase a license key from Microsoft or a Microsoft reseller. Once you have the license key, you can activate the VM by entering the key in the Activation settings of the Windows Server 2019 VM.

    Hi,

    I have the same issue,

Do I need to also purchase any MS license for the Hardware itself (I'm also using ESXi) ?

    Thanks,
