Hi, on one of the computers in the company in the user's home directory there is a folder ".astfiles" through which roaming profiles can not synchronize properly, as a result of which icons, for example, from the desktop after deletion return. In the registry, I tried to add an entry in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NTwindows NT\NCurrent Version\NWinlogon ExcludeProfileDirs ".astfiles;AppData/Local;xxx". AppData is correctly out of sync, and the problematic folder still appears in the event log as 1509. How do I add the entry correctly, or what can I do differently to fix my problem?

    Hello LeetzWin,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

Are the machines and user accounts local domain machines and local domain user accounts?

How did you set home user directory?

Maybe set user home directory on User Properties/Profile tab (below)?

How did you set roaming profile?

Maybe set roaming profile on User Properties/Profile tab (below)? Or via group policy Computer Configuration, then Policies, then Administrative Templates, then System, and then **User Profile**Right-click Set roaming profile path for all users logging onto this computer and then select Edit.

Do you want to roaming profile sync or not sync?

    What is your specific problem?

Hi, I have a local Active Directory, I have the mobile profile synchronization service enabled to the file server with Windows Server 2019. The problem is that there is a wrong synchronization between the server and the computer, so that when deleting a file from the computer it returns to the user's desktop when the account is logged in again (event log error 1509, in the event details is Access Denied).

    Hello

Do you mean the roaming profile is not the roaming profile I mentioned above?

The roaming profile you mentioned is mobile profile synchronization service (it is the information in the link below), am I right?

It is about synchronizing the mobile profile between the server and the computer. It wants to get rid of error 1509, which refers to the inability to synchronize files with the server, which translates into the inability to delete things from synchronized locations, such as the desktop, documents folder.
