Share folders on a network privately

On my local network, I want to share folders from one Windows 11 PC to another. I've done this already, but I want it to not be visible/accessible by anyone else on the network besides my two computers, which I have not figured out how to do. Note that both PCs are logged into the same Microsoft Account. What are my options? Thanks

    Hello,

Assume that a folder on computer A is only accessible to computer B or a designated computer, and cannot be accessed by others. You can refer to the following steps:

    1. First create a local account on computer A and set a password.

Create a local user or administrator account in Windows - Microsoft Support

    1. After creating a local account, open "My Computer" and enter: Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center\ Press Enter, click "Change advanced sharing settings" on the left, find all networks, and click on the right Pull down the small icon on the side, find password-protected sharing, "Enable password-protected sharing", and save changes
    2. Then "right-click" the file to be shared, click "Properties", click "Sharing" and then click "Advanced Sharing" below, check the "Share this folder" option, then click "Permissions" below and delete "Everyone", then click "Add", enter the previously created local account, click "OK", after adding it, you can set permissions (such as full control), then click "OK", click "Security" and then click "Edit" ”, re-enter the local account added before, and click “OK and then add the corresponding permissions” after entering.
    3. Then after accessing the folder of computer A on computer B, a prompt box will pop up for you to enter your account and password. Enter the new local user name and password that you have set on computer A before, and click OK.

Computer B successfully used the newly created local account and password of Computer A to access the folder of Computer A. In this way, the function of accessing shared files for the designated computer was realized.

    Best regards
