How to get Windows 365 to recognize mouse/keyboard on startup/restart?

Windows woke up from sleep with no connection to keyboard or mouse. Keyboard works in "windows" box to open apps, but not in the basic microsoft or app windows. Control alt delete opens task bar, will open and close tasks, turn on, off and restart com;puter, but not show mouse pointer or respond to mouse and keystrokes.

I have tried various safe start and adjusted startup proceedures and evenI have gone so far as a factory reset, but have not recovered connections to any of various mice and keyoards I have on hand. Mine is an AORUS operating system from STEG computers in Switzerland (a firm no longer in business).
Any suggesgtions??

    Hi WILL GassererR,

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community Forums.

So the OS of your device is not a windows OS? Or is it a dual system device? Because you mentioned “Windows” at the beginning and then said the OS is “AORUS”.

But in the information I found, there is no operating system named “AORUS”, but several hardware (e.g. motherboards) manufactured under the “AORUS” brand.

If you are experiencing USB device access issues with your AORUS motherboard or system, here are some suggested steps:

    1. Update the BIOS/UEFI

Make sure your motherboard BIOS/UEFI firmware is up to date. Updating the BIOS/UEFI can resolve compatibility issues and other potential hardware problems.

Go to the GIGABYTE website, find your motherboard model on the product page, and download the latest BIOS/UEFI firmware. Follow the instructions to update the BIOS.

    1. Install the latest drivers

Make sure you have installed the latest chipset drivers and USB controller drivers.

Download the latest drivers from the GIGABYTE website or AORUS driver download page and follow the instructions on the download page to install them.

    Best regards

    Neuvi Jiang
