After renaming user profile folder in AD enviornment, when user login it is creating profile folder by name temp, due to which user is having very limited access/ privilages, how to resolve the issue

    Based on your description, the issue may be caused by the registry key of the user profile not being updated correctly. You can try the following steps:

    1. Log in to the user's computer and open the registry editor.
    2. Navigate to the following path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList.

    Please note that before modifying the registry, please back up the registry for restoration.

    1. Under ProfileList, find the SID of the user and click on it. In the right pane, double-click ProfileImagePath and change its value to the new name of the user profile folder, for example, C:\Users\newusername.

    1. Close the registry editor and restart the computer to log the user in again.
