How To Fix BitLocker On ROG ALLY

Question

My friend recently bought an Asus ROG Ally as of yesterday. When he updated it however, BitLocker said he needed a recovery key to access it. Since ROGs have Windows 11 as an OS, I assumed here would be the place to ask. He can't actually type in the spot where you type in the code so I don't even know if he can use his Asus Ally. How do I help him?

To fix BitLocker on the Asus ROG Ally, your friend can follow these steps:

1. Press and hold the power button on the device until it turns off completely.
2. Press the power button again to turn on the device.
3. When the BitLocker recovery screen appears, press the volume up button to switch to keyboard mode.
4. Press inside the box and a keypad will appear.
5. Enter the recovery key using the keypad.
6. Once the recovery key is entered, the device should unlock and allow access to the operating system.

Can you please provide me more details such as a screenshot? Actually， I can't understand what the "He can't actually type in the spot where you type in the code" means. Is there an issue about his keyboard?

press the volume up button, it will take you to keyboard mode. Then press inside the box and a keypad will appear. Then enter your recovery pin.

This didint work volume up doesn’t change anything on mine but make the number keyboard disappear I need letters
