I lost my key after update windows 11 pro

Hello Community,

I have a problem and need help:

My company bought 22 PCs with 22 Windows 11 Pro DSP OEI keys. My IT staff installed these keys on all PCs. Unfortunately, after one year, we lost the physical copies of these keys.

Everything was fine until one PC updated to the 22H2 version of Windows 11 Pro. After the update, this PC showed that the key is invalid, and Windows is now not activated.

I am worried that other PCs might face the same problem in the future. Has anyone had this issue after updating? How can I fix this and activate Windows again when I lost the physical keys?

Please help me.

    Hello,

Normally, you can upgrade your Windows 11 Pro system to version 22H2 for free, as long as your copy is genuine and verified for activation.

However, because you purchased OEM key that is tied to your hardware, if you change hardware, your system will not be activated.

If you upgrade to the new version within ten days, it is recommended that you try to roll back and see if the system activates properly:

    • Go to Settings > System > Recovery > Go Back.
    • This reverts to the previous version of Windows before the update.

Based on the information you provided, you only upgrade one machine. Forgetting all the product keys, you can check the product keys by typing the command in the command prompt to make a backup.

    1. My hardwar's firm was not window 10 pro, it was Linux, Dell 7010 SFF brand. It said it may install Window 11 pro too -> I bought Windows 11 Pro DSP OEI keys
    2. wmic path softwarelicensingservice get OA3xOriginalProductKey show nothing, just blank space. I was using showkeyplus ( application from MS store ), they still can show key of " not up upgrade " yet PC, but show nothing in the " upgraded " PC.

Based on the information you provided, the machines can run smoothly for over one year indicating that your system meets the requirements for installing Win11 Pro.

Can you return your previous OS version after a few days have passed?

    Many thanks for your kind

Somehow, I found solution to restore my key. It was a bit of lack information from new installing window 11 pro. Re-install vertion and double hand-sake with MS servers then you will be fine

    Good day
