    Hello Steven Lum,

thank you for posting on the Microsoft Community Forums.

The error code 0x80073701 signifies "ERROR_SXS_ASSEMBLY_MISSING", which indicates that the update process is failing because a certain assembly is missing. Specifically, the CBS log indicates that the Microsoft-Windows-DataCenterBridging-Opt-Package could not be pinned or found. To resolve this, you may need to manually download and install the specific KB that includes the Microsoft-Windows-DataCenterBridging-Opt-Package. Based on the version and architecture mentioned, you should look for a KB that matches ”10.0.20348.1“ for ”amd64“. To do this, you can try the following steps:

    1. Check the Microsoft Update Catalog: Visit Microsoft Update Catalog and search for updates related to your server version and architecture. Look for any updates that might include the missing package.
    2. Install the Latest Servicing Stack Update (SSU): Ensure that you have the latest SSU installed for your server version. Sometimes, installing the latest SSU can resolve issues with missing components.
    3. Run the System Update Readiness Tool: This tool can help fix issues that might prevent Windows updates from installing.

    Best regards,

    Lei

    Thanks Lei,

I have already tried DISM upteen times and does not help to resolve anything. I have tried all the search words but the results either came up none or irrelevant to Microsoft-Windows-DataCenterBridging-Opt-Package.

Any further help is much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Steven
