Error trying to point documents folder to network drive

I have a Synology NAS and a new Windows 11 laptop. I'm trying to point the Documents folder on the new laptop to the Shared Data/Documents folder on the NAS. I've done this without any problems on a Windows 10 and another Windows 11 PC. I can point other folders (e.g., Downloads) to the NAS without any problem. But when I try to point to the documents folder I get the error message below:

I don't have anything else that I can find pointed to the Documents folder on the NAS. What could be causing this error? Thanks.

    Hello,

When you receive this error, it’s for those who have already changed the location of a personal folder in Windows, such as Documents or Downloads, and mapped the folder to another personal folder. When reverting, the values are not correctly set to go back to the default or new location. I suggest you try the following to see if this solves the problem:

    • Right-click on of the documents.
    • Click on Properties and then switch to the Location tab
    • Locate the Restart Default, and click on it. The path will now change.
    • Apply the changes.

When using this method, you must copy the files from the previous location to the new location.

    Best Regards

    Zunhui
