How to toggle between local and remote desktop (shortcut)?

Hello,

I am testing the Windows remote desktop for the first time, and I thought there should be a straightforward way of toggling between the local and remote desktop.

I found this article Remote Desktop Services Shortcut Keys - Win32 apps | Microsoft Learn

But my computer is not behaving as described.

For instance, When I am on the remote desktop Alt+Tab, cycles through the tabs of the remote desktop. From the article it looks as if it should cycle through the tabs of the Local desktop. The article describes a series of alternative shortcuts that would do the same for the remote desktop but none of those work on my computer.

To be honest I like that the Alt+tab and the like work as if I am at the Remote Desktop - I have no problem with that and it is actually ideal. but it would be good to have a way of minimizing the remote window and come back to the local, without needing to go to the bar.

Thanks, N

    Hi nsgma365,

I'm Rodrigo and I will help you.

There isn't an Alt+Tab like shortcut to move from the Remote Desktop to the Local Desktop. The best option for this task is to use the Ctrl + Alt + Pause/Break to leave the Fullscreen mode and be able to select other windows on the local computer.
