Good morning,
Been battling this for a few days... Trying to add features to a Server 2016 box and receiving 0x80073701 errors... I ran sfc /scannow no isues, however a dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth failes with "The referenced assembly could not be found."
I looked at the CBS.log and am seeing "Failed to pin deployment while resolving Update: Package_6451_for_KB4284833~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.1.8.4284833-14077_neutral from file: (null) [HRESULT = 0x80073701 - ERROR_SXS_ASSEMBLY_MISSING]"
However running "dism /online /get-packages /format:table" doesn't show the update installed, also I am unable to remove it as I get an error the update is not installed...
Under normal circumstances I would simply download the update and install it, however KB4284833 seems to have been removed from the update catalog and any I try to intsall that I would think would have "replaced" it fail to install stating not required for the server...
Out of ideas for this one... Other than going through the registry and manually removing it from every single nook and cranny, does anyone have any ideas??
Thanks,
-Corey
