Remote desktop to different devices from outside of my PC's network

I have two devices at home connected to the same router with a public IP, and I assigned them a fixed internal IP address.

Now I need to Remote Desktop from the public network to these two devices, but for port forwarding, I can only set each incoming port destination to a specific IP address. I believe this is not how to access different devices through RD.

I understand that you could alter the PC's setting to change the port that RD is listening to, but I cannot find where I can change the port number to the host on my client's device. Add ": $PORT" at the end of the host IP didn't work.

I need some support to tell me how to change the port number of the Remote Desktop software on Android or iOS devices, or any solution that could make RD work on both devices.

    Hello,

Make sure you've followed the correct procedure for altering the RDP port: Change the listening port in Remote Desktop | Microsoft Learn. If you're utilizing a firewall, ensure it's set up to allow connections to the new port number.

I'm unsure why appending ": port number" at the end of the host IP didn't function, but according to Get started with the Android client | Microsoft Learn, you can also append port details to the PC name (e.g., MyDesktop:3389 or 10.0.0.1:3389). This should be accurate.

    Regards,

    Karlie

    Hello,

I have changed the forwarding port on my router from external 3390 to internal 3390 into external 3390 to internal 3389. And I have restored the listening port of the host machine to 3389. In this way the appending ": port number" way works.

    Regards,

    Yin
