Hi,

I have a customer that will change from an EA agreement, to a CSP (i.e., Azure Plan), and I have the following question - what will happen to the 50k USD cancellation limit after the move, will that be reset? According to this link, it says "...the sum total of all canceled reservation commitment in your billing scope (such as EA, Microsoft Customer Agreement - Billing Profile, and Microsoft Partner Agreement - Customer) can't exceed USD 50,000 in a 12 month rolling window."

I interpret it as yes, i.e. it will be reset since the billing scope is changed, but can you please confirm?

Regards

    Hi @Joel Sundström,

    Thanks for the response back.

Yes, that is correct. If the remaining Reserved Instance (RI) cancellation limit is $30K USD at the time of migration from EA to CSP, this limit will remain the same under CSP until the 12-month rolling period completes. After that period ends, the cancellation limit will reset to $50K USD under CSP.
