Accounts not appearing on authenticator app on android phone

Question

For some time I have been using Microsoft authenticator on my android phone to authenticate my outlook email on my desktop computer. To do so I would open the app on my android phone, where the number to be selected would appear, and I would then tap on the appropriate number. Recently this stopped working. When I open the app it asks me to add an account.

I am still able to access my outlook email. When I do so from my desktop computer a notice briefly appears on my android phone asking if I wish to do so. When I tap on the message I can then select the appropriate number and access my outlook emails on my desktop. I would like to be able to have the numbers appear in the authenticator app. Can you help me to do so? I'd appreciate any help you can give.
