  1. Is there a migration script to upgrade classic load balancer to standard? I have tried the automated migration script for Basic to Standard but that failed. I have previously migrated from Azure cloud Classic to Extended support.

    Hi @Kevin Wong

Basic Load Balancers and IPs deployed in Azure Cloud Services (extended support) will not be affected by the Basic SKU retirement. Existing or new deployments will not be affected, and no action needs to be taken currently.

Unfortunately, the upgrade you wanted to do from classic to standard load balancer is not technically possible.

This requires a complete rebuild of your infrastructure.

Since you have migrated from Azure Cloud Classic to extended support, there are fundamental differences between the Classic and ARM models.

There is no retirement plan announced for Azure Cloud Extended Support as of now, so you can just follow the best practices for services/PaaS you are running. If you need more information on ACES, please go through this document and let us know if you have any more questions.
