If you are trying to log in to the Microsoft Entra Admin Center using your personal Microsoft accounts (such as Outlook, Hotmail, or OneDrive), you are automatically connected to the Microsoft Services tenant by default. Within this default tenant, there is no linked directory to perform any actions. This behavior is expected.
In the past, a directory (e.g., UserNamehotmail735.onmicrosoft.com) was created and linked to the personal account, allowing you to perform actions like creating user accounts in that directory. However, this behavior has now changed.
If you wish to have a directory, you will need to create an Azure account and a new tenant:
- Visit https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/free/ and click Start free.
- Follow the instructions to create an Azure account.
A tenant will be automatically created alongside your Azure account, and you will be designated as the Global Administrator, granting you full access to all options within the tenant.
