WIn 11 Freezes using Remote Desktop

I am using remote desktop to connect from my home Win 10 PC to my work PC, which is a Win 11 Enterprise, version 24H2, build 26100.3476. The work computer is constantly freezing up (screen freezes, doesn't respond to mouse or keyboard). The only thing that helps is to close remote desktop and then reopen the connection. But this will happen again and again, especially if I use a feature with extensive graphics, like scrolling too fast on a browser and accessing a streaming video.

I've tried disabling UDP, which helps a little, but the Win 11 PC still freezes, so this is not a solution.

I am able to use RDP from my home computer to connect to other PC's and servers at work without any issue, so I'm pretty sure the problem is RDP on the Win 11 PC.

Does anyone have a solution?

I had a similar issue and was able to fix it by disabling 'Bitmap Caching' in my RDP client settings. Sometimes, this caching causes freezes or screen artifacts, especially when working with graphics-heavy applications over Remote Desktop. After turning it off, my session became much more stable, even when streaming video or doing fast scrolling. I'd recommend giving it a shot—it might just solve the problem for you too.

You can try to do some configuration in your terminal side . You can change your group policy (switch your recent settings)

If it is still not help , when you use 'mstsc', try to uncheck/check persistent caching(this is in the experience card in advanced settings)
