After transitioning to a new phone due to a malfunctioning display, the authenticator app successfully works for a personal email but fails to send codes for my university email. Both emails are synced in the app, but my university email does not generate codes, preventing sign-in or the creation of a 2-step verification process.
When attempting to approve a request on the Microsoft Authenticator app, selecting "I cannot use my Microsoft Authenticator app right now" leads to a prompt for a verification code, which is displayed in the app that is not functioning. This issue is impacting access to important readings for university work.
To troubleshoot, the app has been uninstalled and reinstalled, and notifications are enabled. There is a concern that the university account may not be set up correctly on the app since approval for the verification request was not completed due to not receiving the notification.
