Failed to install performance diagnostics.

I recently tried to run performance diagnostic but it failed with this error.

Failed to run performance diagnostics scenario 'Advanced performance analysis , with Continuous Diagnostics enabled' on virtual machine 'SAS4-JWMA-Prod'. Error: Deploy failed with deploymentStatusCode (Failure)

Failed to install performance diagnostics. Review the virtual machine activity log or re-run the diagnostics. Error: Extension "of Handler 'Microsoft.Azure.Performance.Diagnostics.AzurePerformanceDiagnostics'version 1.0.36.. failed to each its terminal state within the limit.

How to fix this? I ran the same thing in another server and there was no error.

    Good catch! Glad the issue is resolved for you finally. I will have this answer promoted by reposting it. As an Original Poster will not be able to accept your own answer. This is in the attempt to help others looking for a solution for a similar issue.

    As you pointed out, the continuous performance diagnostics were running. By disabled it, and then on-demand feature works.
