I have a library on sharepoint site with folders. I wish that tiles view would kick in automatically and change after accessing any of the folders. Why is this so difficult to achieve?

    Hi @Leo Matelski,

    Hope everything is going well.

Unfortunately, SharePoint has no way to set up an automatic switch to tile view when accessing a folder in a document library. By default, SharePoint libraries open in the view that was last used.We can only take one of the following approaches at this time:

    • Set the Tiles view as the default for the entire document library, which will apply to all folders within it.
    • Manually switch to tiled view when a folder is opened.

We are always looking for ways to improve SharePoint, and your feedback and suggestions are very valuable.

We suggest you can make suggestions for the automatic view switching feature on this SharePoint Feedback portal.

    Thanks for your meaningful contributions.
